Paint Protection Film for Your Tesla
Tesla paint has a reputation for being thin and soft, and with no grille the entire front bumper is painted surface waiting to catch rock chips. Paint protection film is the only thing that physically stops a chip before it reaches the paint. We install 8 mil self-healing film, bulk cut and tucked around the edges so you are not looking at film lines an inch inside every panel, backed by a 10-year warranty.

Our Partial Front PPF package offers essential protection for your Tesla's most vulnerable areas: the partial hood, partial fenders, full front bumper, headlights, and mirrors. These are the zones that take the brunt of rock chips, road debris, and bug splatter while driving.

Ceramic Coating for Your Tesla
A ceramic coating bonds to your Tesla's paint and takes the UV, oxidation, bird droppings and sap that would otherwise land on it. It will not stop a rock, but it adds real depth to the finish and makes the car far easier to wash and dry. On the white and black Teslas we see most, that last part is worth more than owners expect.

Ceramic coating on every painted panel of your Tesla. It takes the UV, oxidation, bird droppings and sap that would otherwise land on the paint, adds real depth to the finish, and makes the car far quicker to wash and dry. Paint correction is available as an add-on if your Tesla already has swirls or light scratches.
- Complete Exterior Wash & Dry

Everything in the Essential Package plus your Tesla's wheels, glass and trim. Glass coating also helps rain clear off the windshield at speed.

Window Tinting Built for Tesla Glass
Every Tesla carries a lot of glass, which is exactly why they get so hot inside. Ceramic film blocks the infrared you actually feel as heat without having to be dark to do it, so the cabin is cooler and the air conditioning works nowhere near as hard. Our Autobahn i3+ film rejects up to 99% of infrared, and we tint the glass roof on the Model 3 and Model Y as well.

Autobahn Black is our entry-level film, a color-stable deep-dyed film that rejects 43% of total solar energy and 99% of UV. It carries no metal in it, so it will not interfere with your Tesla's key card reader, cellular antenna or any of the onboard electronics.

Our mid-level nano-ceramic film rejects 60% of infrared heat and 99% of UV, with none of the low-angle haze cheaper films show. A solid step up for a Tesla owner who wants real heat rejection without going to the top of the range.

Autobahn Ceramic i3 uses multi-layer ceramic construction to block up to 93% of infrared heat and 99% of UV. Optically clear, fade resistant and a genuine step up from single-layer ceramic. On a Tesla carrying this much glass, the drop in cabin temperature is easy to feel.

Our flagship film and the one most Tesla owners choose. Autobahn Ceramic i3+ blocks up to 99% of infrared heat and 99% of UV, which is why it is what we put on glass roofs and on the oversized windshields of the Model X and Cybertruck. Crystal-clear optics, no signal interference, and a no-fault lifetime warranty that covers accidental damage one time, windshield included.

Tesla Wraps and Styling
A wrap changes your Tesla's color without touching the factory paint, which is why it does not hurt resale the way a respray does. Satin black is the finish Tesla owners ask us for most, though the full color range is open to you, and the vinyl comes back off cleanly whenever you want the original color back.

Satin black is the finish Tesla owners ask us for most. It gives the car a flat, low-sheen look the factory does not offer, and because it is vinyl laid over the original paint it comes back off cleanly whenever you want the color underneath.

Metallic vinyl carries a fine flake that catches light the way factory metallic paint does, so the body lines on a Model 3 or Model Y still read from a distance. The full color range is open to you, and it peels off cleanly without touching the paint underneath.

Pearlescent vinyl shifts color as you walk around the car, which suits the smooth, uninterrupted panels of a Tesla. This is the finish to pick if you want the car noticed without going to a loud color.

Supergloss vinyl reads like fresh paint, with depth and reflection close to a show finish. It is the closest you get to a color change respray on a Tesla, except the factory paint stays untouched underneath and the wrap is reversible.

Paint Correction for Your Tesla
Tesla paint marks easily, and swirls show up fastest on the solid black and white finishes. Paint correction machine polishes those swirls, scratches and oxidation out of the clear coat and brings the gloss back. It is also the step that belongs before a ceramic coating, because a coating locks in whatever is underneath it.
Single-stage machine polishing that removes light swirls, scratches and oxidation from your Tesla's clear coat. Tesla paint is soft and marks easily, so most of the one to three year old cars we see fall into this level. It is also the step that belongs before a ceramic coating, because a coating locks in whatever is underneath it.
- Single-Stage Machine Polishing
- Light Swirl & Scratch Removal
- Minor Oxidation Removal
- Paint Clarity Restoration
- Enhanced Gloss & Depth
- Recommended for Teslas 1-3 Years Old
- Prepares Surface for Optimal Coating Bonding
- Professional Application
Multiple stages of compound and polish for a Tesla carrying heavier swirls, scratches and oxidation. Swirls show fastest on the solid black and white finishes Tesla sells most of, and this is the level of correction that clears them out and brings back a mirror finish.
- Multi-Stage Compound & Polish Process
- Heavy Swirl & Scratch Removal
- Deep Oxidation Removal
- Water Spot & Etching Removal
- Maximum Paint Clarity & Depth
- Mirror-Like Finish
- Paint Depth Gauge Measurements
- Recommended for Teslas 3+ Years Old or Heavy Imperfections
- Prepares Surface for Optimal Coating Bonding
- Professional Application

What our customers think

I've never had such an amazing experience before a friend recommended Cen Cal Tinting. I'm used to tinting professionals rushing me and making me feel like I'm an inconvenience. Everyone at Cen Cal Tinting is extremely nice and professional and made me feel like they were happy to be helping me. They obviously care about what they do and their customers and it shows. They do excellent work. I'm beyond impressed with all the tinting and ceramic coating they did. If you have tinting, wrapping or paint protection needs you should request a quote.

James was great from end to end, and Daniel was extremely helpful on everything related to tinting. Very prompt responses, answered all my questions and went above and beyond to ensure I had the best experience. Products are of amazing quality (they have several displays and did a few demos to show it off), and the service was A+. I went with the full front PPF (clear bra), ceramic coating, ceramic tinted the windows + protective/heat film on the windshield. The car looks even better now, and will do so for longer. Highly recommended!

I've had 6 prior vehicles tinted from a different vendor in the past, all which came out great, but wanted to try somewhere else due to scheduling availability and the ability to offer different services (ceramic coating & wraps). This search led me to Cen Cal Tinting in Clovis. I was able to text up front to get all my questions answered and was able to schedule an appointment a couple of days out (on a Sunday!!). Super great customer service, friendly staff, great location, amazing availability and the quality is top of the line! Will be back - they've earned all my future business!

We Are Here To Help
It depends on the model and on which windows you want done, so we quote the car in front of us rather than work off a flat rate.
As a guide, a full car starts at $249 in our standard film and $389 in ceramic. Most of our Tesla customers go with all the doors, the back windows and the windshield, which is the combination that really brings the cabin temperature down. The windshield is quoted on its own, because the glass is a different size on every model, and a Model X or Cybertruck windshield is a far bigger piece than a Model 3's.
Ceramic is the one we steer most Tesla owners toward, because a Tesla carries a lot of glass for its size. Autobahn i3+ blocks up to 99% of infrared heat, against 93% for i3. Every install carries a no-fault lifetime warranty, and most cars are in and out in one to four hours. The full film range is on our window tinting in Fresno page.
The law is the same for a Tesla as for anything else, and it depends on which window you mean.
Front side windows have to let at least 70% of light through, so film applied to factory glass needs to be around 88% VLT or higher to stay legal. Rear side windows and the rear glass have no darkness limit at all, as long as the car has dual side mirrors, which is why 20% and 5% are the usual picks for the back half. The windshield can only be tinted in the top four inches above the AS-1 line, and it has to be non-reflective. Red, amber and blue films are prohibited on any window statewide.
The number that matters is the finished window, not the film on its own, because factory glass already blocks some light before anything goes on. That is what an officer's meter reads, and it is what we measure. More on the law and the film range on our window tinting in Fresno page.
Yes, and on a Tesla it is more noticeable than on most cars. Every Tesla carries a lot of glass, whichever one you drive, and that is exactly why they get so hot inside.
Some models have more of it than others. The Model Y and the Cybertruck have a full glass roof overhead, and the Model X and the Cybertruck carry the big windshields, which put a lot of glass directly over the front seats.
Ceramic film is what does the work. It blocks infrared, the part of sunlight you actually feel as heat, without having to be dark to do it. Our i3 film rejects up to 93% of infrared and i3+ up to 99%. The result is a cabin that is genuinely cooler to sit in and an air conditioning system that does not have to work anything like as hard to keep it that way. Ceramic also does not interfere with phone, GPS or radio signals the way metalized film can. The full film ladder is on our window tinting in Fresno page.
Yes, and plenty of Tesla owners have us do it.
The glass roof already has a factory coating, but it is a large flat panel taking the full Central Valley sun, and that is a lot of heat landing on the people underneath it. A ceramic film on the roof cuts the infrared the factory glass lets through, which is the heat you feel on the top of your head, and it takes the edge off the glare as well.
It is priced separately from the door glass, because it is one big single pane and it takes longer than a normal window. There is no darkness limit on the roof the way there is on the front side windows, so you can go as light or as dark as you like up there. Mention it when you book and we will quote the roof along with the rest of the car. Film options are on our window tinting in Fresno page.
Tesla paint has a reputation for being thin and soft compared with other makes, and owners tend to notice chips and swirls sooner than they expect to.
There is also more paint up front to hit. A Tesla has no grille, so the entire front bumper is painted surface, where a conventional car breaks that same area up with a grille and trim. Add Highway 99 and 41, plus the grit that blows off Valley farmland, and the front end takes a beating.
Paint protection film is the only product that physically stops a chip before it reaches the paint. Ours is 8 mil self-healing urethane, bulk cut and tucked around the edges rather than laid on as a pre-cut kit, so you are not looking at film lines an inch inside every panel. It carries a 10-year warranty.
A partial front starts at $899 and a full front is $1,799. The track package, which adds the leading roof edge, A-pillars, rocker panels and the rear wheel impact areas, is $2,799, and full vehicle coverage starts at $5,999. Coverage maps and pricing are on our paint protection film in Fresno page.
They do different jobs, and plenty of Tesla owners end up with both.
Paint protection film is physical armor. It is thick enough to absorb a rock before it reaches your paint, which is why it goes across the front end, where almost all the chips actually happen.
A ceramic coating is only a few microns thick and works chemically instead. It will not stop a rock, but it resists UV, oxidation, bird droppings and sap, adds real depth to the finish, and makes the car far easier to wash and dry. On a white or a black Tesla, the two colors we see most, that last part is worth more than people expect.
The usual combination is film across the front and a coating over the rest, and we can coat over the film itself so the whole car beads the same way. Coatings start at $699 for Essential with a 3-year warranty and run to $2,199 for Ultimate. See ceramic coating in Fresno and paint protection film in Fresno.
A full color change wrap starts at $3,200. Where a particular Tesla lands depends on the model and the finish, because a Model X takes more material than a Model 3, and satin and color-shift films cost more than gloss.
Plan on five to seven days in the shop. A wrap is fully reversible: the vinyl sits on top of the factory paint, so the original color is still underneath and untouched, which is why wrapping does not hurt resale the way a respray does. With reasonable care it lasts three to five years, though a car that lives outside through Valley summers ages faster than a garaged one.
If you only want part of the car changed, accent panels, the roof or the mirror caps on their own are a much cheaper way in. Colors, finishes and pricing are on our car wraps in Fresno page.
It is one of the most requested wraps we do on Teslas. Satin black keeps the shape of the car readable in a way gloss black does not, and it hides dust between washes better than you would expect in the Valley.
We wrap the full vehicle or just the panels you want changed, and the finish stays consistent across every piece because it is all the same film.
You can see a Model 3 we wrapped satin black in our portfolio, and the rest of the color range on our car wraps in Fresno page.
Yes, and the Model 3 is one of the most common cars we do it on. Earlier Model 3s came with bright chrome window trim and door handles, which is exactly what our Essential Chrome Delete covers, along with the mirror caps.
You can go further and take in the badges as well, or smaller with a window trim blackout on its own. Finishes are gloss, satin or matte black, and because it is all vinyl rather than paint it comes back off cleanly if you sell the car or change your mind.
Most chrome deletes take one to three days, so it is a drop-off job. The scopes and finishes are on our chrome delete in Fresno page.
All of them. Model 3 and Model Y are the bulk of what comes through the shop, and we regularly work on Model S, Model X and Cybertruck.
The big windshields are the part most shops would rather not take on. The Model X windshield sweeps up over the roofline and the Cybertruck's is one enormous flat pane, and neither is forgiving to work on. We have done a lot of both and we are very good at them, so it is not a job we turn away.
Recent work is in our portfolio, including a Cybertruck we did at the shop.
Window tint is the quick one. Most cars are in and out in one to four hours, and we can often fit you in the same day you call.
Chrome delete is one to three days. A full front in paint protection film is two to three days, and full vehicle coverage is five to seven. A full color change wrap is five to seven days. A ceramic coating depends on whether the paint needs correcting first, which most cars more than a year or two old do.
Everything happens at our Clovis shop, a short drive from anywhere in Fresno. We do not offer mobile installs, because tint and film both need a clean, controlled space to come out right. Call (559) 797-6887 or get in touch to check availability.
