Choose Ceramic Coatings For The Best Look

Add a permanent layer and glossy like-new look to your vehicle with our state-of-the-art ceramic coating services. Just one coat will give you optimal protection for your paint. Two convenient shops based in Fresno, CA and Clovis, CA.

Safer for the environment

Ceramic coating your vehicle is a more environmentally friendly way to protect the paint of your car. You can use ceramic coating to fill in light scratches and swirl marks on your vehicle's exterior surface.

Lasts for years

The ceramic coating we use lasts up to 6 years and are warrantied. We use only the best ceramic coating chemicals and applications, powered by 3M®, a leading ceramic coating manufacturer.

Best paint protection for your car

A ceramic coating protects your vehicle's paint from minor scratches, tree sap, water spots, UV rays, road debris, and other damage. With less work on your part, you'll be able to keep your car beautiful.

UV damage & oxidation protection

When your vehicle is exposed to the sun's harmful UV rays, its paint oxidizes and starts fading. With a ceramic coating, your vehicle is able to withstand and resist sun damage.

A premium wax alternative

When we apply ceramic coating, the premium wax creates a permanent bond with your vehicle's paint. When you're washing your car, the ceramic coating layer will remain. You don't need repeated applications.

A layer of grime resistance

Powder coating is used to protect property and equipment from damage. Just like powder coating, our ceramic coating keeps your car free of spots, dirt, and grime that can accumulate on your car.

Better than traditional car coatings

Common car coatings are made with polymer resins, but a ceramic coat is made with silicon dioxide or silica. Once applied, the nanoceramic coating layer will turn into a hardened shell of protection for your car.

Done by an auto styling professional

Most shops offer only tinting or traditional coatings. But our trained professionals are skilled at applying advanced coatings to take all of the work out of constant washing and waxing.

Less bird droppings & chip damage

Keeping your vehicle beautiful is hard to do when you're constantly cleaning bird droppings and dealing with rock chip damage. Applying ceramic coating gives you element protection and durable hardness.

More luster, depth, and pop

Every car owner envies that reflective gloss that can come when good ceramic coating enhances your car's paint and clear coat.

What Our Customers Say

Common Questions About Ceramic Coatings

We get a lot of questions about our ceramic coating services from new and existing customers. We’ve published the most frequently asked ones here. If you don’t see your question here, feel free to ask us over the phone or using our contact form.

In most cases, ceramic coatings are absolutely worth the investment. A ceramic coat provides great protection against contaminants and minor scratches, all while making the vehicle much easier to clean up.

We exclusively use the 3M® Ceramic Coatings’ product formula because they last up to 5 years, sometimes longer, with proper care. You’ll protect your vehicle’s paint year after year.

It ranges based on the package you select and the type of car you want coated. Get in touch with us for a free no-hassle quote.

We recommend avoiding “drive through” car washes and performing hand washes only. You should use the products recommended by your ceramic coat installer. Of course, you can always reach out with any questions!

When your ceramic coating is done by a professional, there’s no danger at all for your car. When done by an amateur, though, a bad ceramic coating can cause streaks, high spots, hazing, and horrible reflections on your vehicle’s surface.

No, it’s best to avoid automated car washes if you have a ceramic-coated vehicle. Automated car washes use recycled water and low-quality brushes that can rub dirt and grit along the ceramic coating, damaging it. It’s best to stick to handwashing only for ceramic-coated vehicles.

When getting a ceramic coating, it’s always best to choose a professional over an amateur. Investing in ceramic coating can mean higher sale price and overall car appeal, if done correctly.

To find a ceramic coating professional, take time to look at online reviews and past work for restyling shops in your area.

The term “liquid glass” comes from the ceramic appearance and glass-like smoothness that your vehicle will have after we’ve applied a ceramic coating. The clear, glass-like appearance will be protected from oil, environmental element damage, and minor abrasions, scratches, and scrapes.

The Moh scale is a measurement system to determine the hardness of a mineral. However, ceramic coating manufacturers and professionals often rate coatings based on their hardness as well. Most coatings are between 2H and 4H. However, our ceramic coating (by 3M®) has a hardness of 6H, making it a superior ceramic coating option.

Ultimately, we want to help your car because it’s a significant investment that deserves as much attention as any other piece of property. Choosing a clear nanoceramic coating will result in a protective sealant that removes and repels chemical stains, rains, dirt spray, and other element damage.

Many manufacturers and professionals market their ceramic coat products as 8H, 9H, or 10H but these numbers aren’t based on any real testing. An average ceramic coat is between 2-4H and our own ceramic coat is rated as 6H. Once you get past 6H, the hardness of the coating layer is pretty much the same as lower levels of hardness.

While there is a lot of hype around ceramic coating, it’s not all hype. As with most things, there are hype-filled schemes and the real thing. Don’t worry, at Cen Cal Tinting, we’re the real thing. Just check out our online reviews and past ceramic coating work.

A ceramic coating is like wax, but offers a more premium look and much higher durability and better hydrophobic characteristics. When you apply wax to your car, it basically just sits there. Washing your car will require another wax since the layer of wax is very likely to come off.

On the other hand, ceramic coatings provide longer protection against UV rays, dust, harsh detergents, and environmental contaminants. It also offers a clean, hydrophobic surface so rain and water don’t stick to your car and create water spots. Instead, water will bead up and slide right off of your vehicle.

When done by a professional, a ceramic coating takes between 3-4 days from start to finish.

Much of the initial work for a ceramic coating involves preparing the automotive surface for the coat. After the ceramic coating application, you’ll need to wait for the coat to dry and bond with the vehicle paint.
